Put-to-Light systems are a highly efficient automated sortation method for dividing large quantities of products into individual customer orders, using lightweight devices to direct operations to "put" items.
In the Put-to-Light system, also known as a scan-and-sort system, products are typically separated into batches in advance and taken to a placement station. Operators scan the barcodes on individual products, and then the lights turn on for all individual customer orders requiring that product.
