Automatic Vehicles
Automated vehicles like the AVG (Autonomous Guided Vehicle) and the AMR (Autonomous Mobile Robot) are carts that move through factory aisles, transporting loads and materials. The AVG follows markings and lines on the floor, while the AMR moves solely using sensors and scanners.

The right navigation system depends on the application:
Magnetic free curve, following a magnetic strip or cord on the ground, without the need to draw curves.
Optical, following a contrast created by a line on the ground.
Inductive, detecting a magnetic field in the ground.
By magnetic points, free navigation with references through magnetic pins.
Laser, laser triangulation with reflectors.
GPS for guidance in outdoor applications.
Hybrid (combination of several navigation systems in the same vehicle).
Contouring, Mapping, SLAM
