In some situations, to keep the welding in the most favorable position and/or eliminate the need to “divide” the process into several operations, it is common to use one or more external axes (servo-controlled) fully integrated with the robot, increasing its number of degrees of freedom.

Depending on the need, these axes can be easily integrated into the COMPACT-WELD cell. Their movements are programmed in the robot's own programming unit, as if they were their own axes.
